Dance! Dance!

Abby and Tessa (her friend)
We went to our ward's 'Talent Show' and Abby's dance teacher is in the ward. So the little girls performed for us all and Abby loved it. She wasn't even shy. It was the cutest ever! I am a proud mama!

Baseball

Diamondbacks! We took the kids to see the Diamondbacks, thanks to Jake,Tami and Bella, we all had a good time. The kids loved the big stadium, field, peanuts and the rattlers! They had fun with Bella too. They kept telling me they wanted to go back to the baseball game. It was a great night.

Just a note!

Just a note! I am getting engulfed into Twilight now that I am more than half way done so the other books should be good as well, hopefully. I am discovering again that I do like to read more than I thought. I haven't, casually, read for awhile now--because of the busy life of raising the kids and a husband (ha, ha,,,) Just kidding on most levels.

Another note! Yesterday, pondering about my life, I realized how blessed I am again for my life. I have three great kids, who do drive me crazy every so often, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. I was playing with Benjamin and just had him for a while because the kids were both in school at the time and I again realized what a wonderful spirit he had and his innocence. We were at church the other Sunday and Ben told me that Benjamin kept looking at Christ's picture and giving these greatbig smiles! I'd like to think he knew who he was in all his innocence of five months! Life can be hard on a daily basis, but it can be so full of joy when we look at what we truly have on a spiritual level.

Painting - chore - and a lesson

Just a comment. Well, I've been saying that I wanted to repaint Tyler's room for a year now. Well, I did it and finished it. It looks a lot better. It was a Royal blue and now it is a navy blue. Tyler calls it his grown up room now. I had to push myself to do it. Why? Well, you see when we bought this house, the walls were stark white (flat)paint and so I've painted almost every room in this house in the last five years. So- I'm not a fan of painting. I do like the end result though. So - now I am looking around at my house and thinking now that it has been five years some rooms need painting- I guess I want the change. Here we go again! I am thinking a few different rooms in the next year. Painting takes a lot of time and patience which, I think, I lack in both. But I am gaining more patience or trying to on a daily basis. My grandma Hill, I was told, always said, "Patience is a virtue"
Until next time.

The Hill/Johnson/Corbin/Manwaring California Trip

Beach Time

We arrived late Saturday afternoon and were looking forward to some excitement and time spent with family. The kids were excited to see their cousins who live in Utah. One of their little cousins lives in the valley, but we always love to see him@! The weather was sublime! Cool in the mornings and evenings - perfect beach weather during the day! We loved the condo we stayed in. The kids had their bikes this year and had a great time riding them up to the park and around the neighborhood. The kids couldn't wait to get the ocean. On Sunday, we went up to San Clemente to visit with cousins and family for a 'miracle baby' blessing. My cousin Kristy had a baby boy, Garrett, at the end of January, but he was born very premature @ 26 weeks. He is doing wonderful. We had a nice lunch at a beautiful park - we got lazy - loved it. Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday were beach days--- building sand castles, reading, walking and playing with family in the ocean. The ocean air is so refreshing. I couldn't get enough of it. This year the kids were more comfortable in the ocean which was much more fun. After the beach day, we would take a dip in the jacuzzi for some relaxation! There was a pool at the condos and the kids are swimming pretty well on their own now! Yeahh.... Thanks to Nana Hill, mommy and the YMCA! They enjoyed swimming with Samantha and Tommy. Thursday we had the opportunity to visit LegoLand! Geared just for kids! They have never been to an amusement park. Well, they had a blast on all the rides! I think their daddy did too - he is a big kid at heart.
Friday was our last day on the beach and it was fantastic.. Even baby Benjamin like the beach. We had our annual 'shrimp' boil which was yummy. Ben even tried a few and quote - "not bad"! Maybe I can get him to eat some salmon some time. We had a chance to go down to mission bay and have a bon fire and cook delicious smores!
The nights were nice. We played games, watched movies and talked. We took a girls night out and went to a movie and then the guys did. We each took turns with the kid duty during that time. This was a great vacation!

Cali continued....

Family California Trip!

We had so much fun that we were exhausted when we came home. The kids didn't want to come home.

Tyler's First day of Kindergarten came and went!

Tyler's first day of school went well. He was quiet all at first, but he seemed to be ok with his new classroom and teacher. I asked him what he did - he said he colored, read books and ate lunch! That is pretty good for Tyler. It is hard to get anything out of him sometimes. His teacher is Ms. Kelly and he knows a little boy from the ward that is in his class. Our Tyler is growing up! It is not letting me upload pictures right now, but I do have one thanks to a friend. I forgot my camera because I was so nervous for him and me!

Tyler is ready for Kindergarten, but I am not!

This is Tyler as Spiderman, his favorite character right now, he now has a lunch pale that is all Spiderman.
I think Tyler is ready for it, but I am a nervous wreck. I don't know why. I am excited, but have the butterflies for him. It is all day Kindergarten and he has never been away from me that long in a day consistently. He went to Preschool for two years, but now it is even more time. I hope he is ready and I hope I will be ready. I want him to like school and enjoy it. I will update later.
